About Us
At Seraphim Sourdough Co., bread is more than just something to eat—it’s a labor of love, a connection to the past, and a way to bring people together. The name Seraphim comes from the highest order of angels, often described as beings of pure light and devotion. Derived from a word meaning “to burn” or “to shine,” it symbolizes transformation—just as simple ingredients are transformed by time and fire into something nourishing and full of life. What started as a simple passion for baking grew into a deep appreciation for the slow, intentional process of sourdough. We believe in honoring that process, using only high quality ingredients, natural fermentation, and time-honored techniques to create bread that’s as nourishing as it is delicious. Every loaf is made with care, patience, and a touch of soul, because we know that real food has the power to comfort, to gather, and to sustain. From our hands to your table, we’re honored to share this craft with you—one loaf at a time.

Practices
We keep it simple—just flour, water, salt, and time allowing wild yeast and natural fermentation to do the rest. Our slow, 24- to 48-hour fermentation process enhances flavor, improves digestibility, and creates the signature tang and texture of true sourdough. Each loaf is mixed by hand, carefully shaped, and baked to perfection, resulting in a crisp, caramelized crust and a soft, airy crumb. No commercial yeast, no preservatives—just real, nourishing bread made the way it was meant to be.
